In nature, yellow is the color of daffodils and sunflowers, SIGNALING the advent of spring, bringing hope, optimism, and enlightenment.

In America, yellow has been weaponized against Asians as the color of xenophobia.

The Yellow Whistleβ„’ is a symbol of self-protection and solidarity in our common fight against historical discrimination and anti-Asian violence. The whistle is a simple gadget with a universal purposeβ€”to signal alarm and call for helpβ€”for
all Americans.

We shall not remain silent, because
WE BELONGβ„’.

WE BELONGβ„’

The Yellow Whistleβ„’ campaign will officially launch on April 19, 2021 National Patriots’ Day. We encourage all supporters to show solidarity on this day by wearing The Yellow Whistleβ„’ and posting an image of The Yellow Whistleβ„’ and THE link to this website on their social media.

In 1775, patriots rang bells to alarm the APPROACH of King George’s TROOPS on the eve of April 19. This historic event signaled the beginning of America’s fight for independence against tyranny and is commemorated every year as the National Patriots’ Day.

On April 19, 2021, we ask all Americans to whistleblow and sound alarm on the historical tyranny of racism.

IN THE PRESS

β€œThe idea of belonging is something that most of us have earned. And the point is that we all belong. None of us came from here except Native Americans. One way or another, we all assimilated in this country.”

β€œAt the Citywide PIP, I was given 100 yellow whistles by Dr. Pei and delivered by Alice. I distributed some to the guests attending Tuesday May 11, 2021. It was a great awareness campaign of what is going on and opened the conversations to attendees about the yellow whistle, this led to great community engagement and dialogue with one on one with guests.”
